The original and most important activity of the Estate has always been farming, both for the position of the area and its extension, which still covers about 800 hectares of Mediterranean marquis and 400 hectares of sown fields.
Cereals and fodder are mainly grown in this area.
Following the same ancient rituals, Mocajo produces a typical Tuscan oil with the traditional "fiscoli" and cold pressing methods and the d.o.c. Montescudaio wine, which now represent its highest quality food products.
Land drainage and deforestation together with great attention paid to the inner road conditions aim to preserve and safeguard the natural background of the Estate. |
